With the high ABSD (Additional Buyer Stamp Duty) imposed on buying Singapore residential property, it is becoming obvious that buying an industrial or commercial property in Singapore is becoming the next best choice for property investors. The ABSD for foreign investor buying a Singapore residential property is as high as 60% and in contrast, it is 0% for commercial or residential property.

However, if you are nationals and permanent residents of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland or nationals of USA, you are exempted from this high ABSD as long as it is your first residential property in Singapore.
